SBS Insurance Agency was formed in 2003 by the merger of two successful agencies. Runnebaum Inc., with locations in Seneca and Sabetha, joined with Fankhauser and Sheik Insurance Agency of Bern.
SBS Insurance Agency purchased DMS Insurance Agency of Hiawatha, Mueting Crop Insurance Agency of Axtell , Insurance Services of Onaga, Insurance Services of Seneca (with an additional location in Centralia), Heiman Insurance of Seneca, and Engles Agency of Auburn Nebraska, forming a strong presence in Northeast Kansas and Southeast Nebraska.
