In 1984, James Francis started in the Insurance industry after looking for a career change. James began selling Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance and Medicare Supplements out of his laundry room where he made a small desk. Those early years were a lot of doorbell ringing all over Chicagoland and out in the farmlands of Illinois. Business hours started at 8am and went all day sometimes six or seven days a week.
In 1993, as his business grew, he outgrew that little desk in the laundry room. It was at that time that RetireMax Insurance Agency was created! He upgraded from the laundry room office to a 70 square foot office that he rented. Within a few years that building was sold, so RetireMax was on the move again.
In 1995, RetireMax found an 800 square foot office with a store front location in Midlothian, IL. That same year, the agency expanded by adding a division for home and auto insurance. Joe Francis, James' son currently oversees the Home & Auto division as well as the Commercial lines division!
In 2017, RetireMax moved into their Orland Park office location providing the largest office yet!
