Q: Am I in a flood zone?

A: It's important to know if you're in a flood zone. Flood zones tell you whether you're at an elevated risk for flooding. If you're in a flood zone, lenders might require flood insurance. If you aren't in a flood zone but are still concerned about the potential damage caused by flooding, you may want to consider flood insurance.

The easiest way to determine whether you're in a flood zone is by using one of several interactive maps available on the Internet. You can type in your address and it will tell you which flood zone you're in and the degree of risk.

By speaking with a TrustedChoice.com independent agent, you can determine whether you need flood insurance, and if so, which policy makes the most sense for you.
