"Whether your claim is large or small, Southern Fidelity understands how you and your family can be affected by those damages. Our claims professionals work to ensure that you are provided with an accurate assessment of your damages and a thorough review of your policy coverages in a timely manner.

Initial Contact

Once you’ve reported your claim, a claims professional will contact you to discuss your loss. If needed, a field inspection will be scheduled to inspect your damaged property.


During the inspection, the field adjuster will document your damages, take photos, and prepare a report.

The inspecting adjuster will not make any coverage or payment determination at the inspection. The completed report will be provided to a home office examiner to be reviewed.


A home office examiner will review the inspecting adjuster’s report and make a coverage determination based on the terms of your insurance policy. The coverage or payment determination will be explained in a letter, which may include supporting documentation such as an estimate or policy language. If you have a mortgage company, be prepared that your mortgage company may be included as a co-payee on your claims payment."

Terrible Company, they WILL NOT be there for you. Did whatever they could to not pay my legitimate claim. You get what you pay for, and I did. If you use them, get a pubic adjuster from day one, do NOT talk to them. May my 20k out of pocket be a lesson to you.

Looking for a homeowners policy? Customers beware! This company is very unprofessional. This particular company would lie, do, or say anything to get out of paying a legitimate claim. The customer service is overflowing with nasty/bad attitudes. Whatever you do, please do not be sucked in by their lies to get your business. Put your attorney on notice!

I have a claim for water damage. They do no pay. They only take in payments, they don't pay out. When speaking to the people who work for Southern Fidelity regarding my claim, they hire insane people or they become insane working there.

Very unhappy with the service I recently received. I filed a claim on July 28, 2021 due to a cracked septic system. I found out on today that the claim was denied because of normal wear and tear even though this system is only about three years old on a new construction home. I'll accept the claim was denied but the claims desk adjuster was very rude and unprofessional when I simply wanted me details on why the claim was denied. Nothing against the company but your employees can make you look bad.

We award Southern Fidelity Insurance a final rating of 2 out of 5 stars. Southern Fidelity Insurance is less than two decades old now, but they have had many complaints filed against them through the BBB. Many customer reviews are only 1-star ratings and include disturbing reports of canceled coverage, uncovered claims, and unjust premium hikes.

While SFI offers 24/7 claims reporting, many customers aren't pleased with the level of assistance they receive from the insurance company. Customer service encounters are reportedly not respectful or helpful. Customers do not feel that they get out of their coverage what they were promised.

We can't in good conscience recommend working with Southern Fidelity Insurance if a reliable company is important to you. Instead, work together with an independent insurance agent to find an insurance provider in your area that will meet your needs for coverage and exceptional customer service.
