Data-Enriched Referrals are an enhancement to personal lines referrals from InsuredBetter.com, designed to make quoting faster, smarter, and more efficient for agencies purchasing Claim-it Referrals.
Enriched referrals include additional business or policy insights sourced through trusted data partners — such as Canopy Connect and others — to give agents more context about each consumer’s insurance needs.
The goal: streamline quoting, reduce intake time, and improve connection and conversion rates.
When Enrichment Applies
Data enrichment currently applies to personal lines referrals from InsuredBetter.com.
If a consumer connects or authorizes their existing insurance data through one of our enrichment partners, the referral you receive will include enriched data.
If no data connection is made, the referral will be delivered as a standard referral without enrichment.
What You’ll Receive
For each enriched referral, you’ll receive:
- A Data-Enriched label to indicate it includes additional policy information.
- Any supplemental documents or data files from our enrichment partners (for example, PDFs from Canopy Connect showing connected policy details).
You’ll continue receiving referrals through Claim-it exactly as before — the only difference is the added data enrichment, which provides more actionable information to help you quote efficiently.
What’s Included in Enriched Data
The details included may vary depending on the enrichment source and data partner. Examples include:
- Carrier name and policy number
- Coverage types and limits (auto, home, condo, renters, etc.)
- Deductibles and endorsements
- Renewal or expiration dates
- Vehicle or property details (make/model, year, address)
- Premium amount (when available)
- Supplemental insights, such as household indicators or policy behaviors

How It Works in the InsuredBetter.com Funnel
- The consumer begins their personal lines referral journey on InsuredBetter.com.
- During the process, they may be prompted to connect or authorize insurance or related data via one of our enrichment partners.
- If the connection is made, that partner securely retrieves and shares policy data or insights with the matching agent.
- The referral is tagged as Data-Enriched and delivered through Claim-it; any supplemental data will be included in the purchased Claim-it referral.
- If the connection step is skipped, the referral remains standard (no enrichment added).
Security
All enrichment data is consumer-authorized and transferred securely through our trusted data partners. Credentials are never stored, and all data sharing occurs with explicit consent from the consumer.
Pricing and Availability
- Currently available for personal lines referrals.
- Commercial lines referrals are not yet included.
- Pricing continues to reflect referral quality and depth of available data — enriched referrals may appear in a different price tier as more data partners and enrichment types are added.
