We are going through difficulties with our home at 105 Henry Street and needed engineers reports and policy reviews to determine whether we had coverage and or other recourse. I was referred to Coastal Insurance Solutions by a friend about 7 years ago, at the time I used Allstate for my 2 cars and home. They saved me about $500 a year and I've been using them ever since. More than the money they saved me I have to tell anyone looking for insurance about Coastal because when I had a pipe burst in my basement a few years back I was concerned due to the nightmare stories I hear all the time in the news about insurance companies not covering claims due to loopholes. My fears were alleviated the next day when David Clausen, the owner of the company, showed up personally with an adjuster in order to assess my claim and help out in any way possible. I had damage to my basement carpet and walls, but my 5 year-old daughter was especially upset, you see I used the basement for her play room and a bunch of her stuffed animals had gotten soaked and therefore had to be thrown out. Well I am happy to report that not only did Coastal Insurance Solutions get me money right away to fix the damage with no questions asked, they also insisted on replacing every single one of my daughters stuffed animals! Coastal Homeowner Insurance Solutions is a great company to work with. Everyone I have dealt with at this company has provided excellent customer service. My most recent experience was with Dan Gorman. I needed a homeowners policy ASAP and he got the job done. I called him in the afternoon and I had a bound policy before close of business. I recently purchased a home in Sag Harbor and was surprised how difficult getting insurance for homes in the area can be post hurricane Sandy. My insurance company did not offer coverage and initial quotes I received from a couple of other insurance companies were very expensive. I was referred to Coast insurance and the agent that I worked with, Allison, was extremely helpful. She was able to provide me with several attractive insurance policies tailored to my needs. I haven't even met Dan in person but from speaking over the phone was really able and more than willing to assist me. He gave me options that was geared towards what I was looking for at an affordable price. This company along with Dan I give my highest recommendation.

I switched all my insurance over to Dan about a year ago. He saved me a ton of money and gives great service. Definitely 5 stars and happy to recommend to friends and family. I've had some bad experiences in the past and Dan was definitely able to rectify the situation. When I got in contact with him I was using this guy Allen from Tallahassee. It all seemed legitimate at first but before long he was calling trying to up sell me on every little thing. Then he started calling to just to chat, asking me if he could crash for a weekend here and there. At one point he talked me into going halves on a Moped. He crashed the thing into a mailbox and wrecked it. To add salt to the wound, his cut rate insurance didn't even cover it so I was out $450. It just really seemed like the kind of headache you don't need from your insurance agent. Glad to be with a thorough, professional agent like Dan now.

Dan has been phenomenal. As a first time homeowner, there were many things about hazard and flood insurance that I just didn't know. He took the time to explain everything and kept it all simple.
