We've been serving families since the early 1940's, and would love to start helping you as well! Folk Insurance Agency, also known as Wiedmayer-Uckele Insurance, is your local family-owned and operated insurance agency serving Saline, Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas of Washtenaw, Lenawee and Monroe counties.
We are licensed in Michigan and Ohio. We have memberships in the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce, MAIA, IIABA, and NFIB. We are an independent insurance agency, which means we represent many different companies and can shop them to find the best rates for you. Norman Wiedmayer started the agency in the early 1940's, beginning the family owned business in his home in Saline, Michigan.
Our agency remains a part of the local business community today. Mr. Wiedmayer retired in 1981 at which time Wayne Uckele bought the agency and moved the business to 213 E Michigan Ave, creating the Wiedmayer-Uckele Insurance Agency.
