Amherst Insurance Agency was founded in 1979 in Amherst Massachusetts as a division of the Nathan Agencies. It is locally owned and operated as an independent Insurance Agency serving all of Massachusetts as well as Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Connecticut. As a member of the Western Massachusetts community for thirty five years, we strive to provide quality services and advice to our patrons. Our clients represent a broad spectrum of individuals, businesses and institutions. The extensively trained staff of Amherst Insurance has experience with home, auto, renters, personal umbrella, and commercial insurance for both small and large businesses. As an independent agent, we represent multiple insurance companies, Amherst Insurance is able to offer products or programs that will best serve the needs of our insured's at a competitive price. We have specialty markets for hard to place exposures including vacant properties, business in the home, coastal properties, restaurants etc. Included in our commitment to personalized service, is our experience and attentiveness to help navigate through stressful times that occur when there is a claim.
