I'm 66 years old and have had several insurance companies in my day, including Allstate, State Farm, Farmers, among others. Like many people, I started with the insurance company my father had, but realized finding an insurance agent is no different than finding any other service provider. You need to comparison shop, not just choose the insurance company your parents had or a company with a funny ad on TV. Do your research! You will find, as I did, that the best and most affordable insurance coverage is from an INDEPENDENT AGENT, not one of those big insurance companies on TV. It costs money to run those ads and you pay for it! I found Hazar Insurance was the best independent agent in town. Not only did they represent the big insurance companies, but they also represent smaller insurance companies, which are often a better value.
