Does Snowmobile Insurance Cost a Lot in Montana?

Many insurance companies will permit you to insure up to five operators for your sled. Some will even enable you to save money by insuring multiple snowmobiles with a single policy. By eliminating the need to purchase a separate policy for every member of your family, you can save both time and money. There are a number of factors that can affect the cost of your snowmobile insurance policy including:

  • The make, model, year and purchase price of your snowmobile
  • How much liability coverage you wish to purchase
  • Which coverage options you choose
  • Where and how you store your sled when not in use
  • Whether or not you have successfully completed a snowmobile safety course
  • Your personal driving record and claims history

Despite the number of factors that can influence rates, policy costs will not vary much from person to person because this coverage is highly affordable. Most Montana residents pay less than $15 per month for their snowmobile insurance. This is a small price to pay for the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your investment and your finances are well-protected when you are enjoying time on your snowmobile.
